Download and print the Creepy & Kawaii Ghost Template. To transfer the template onto the Medium Basswood Canvas Square, rub the back of the template with a pencil and loosely cut out the ghost.

Washi tape the ghost onto the wood square and trace the ghost with a pencil. Remove the template to reveal the ghost on the wood.

Use a flat-bristled paint brush and acrylic paint to paint the ghost, background and sides of the wood square.

While the paint on the wood square is drying, cut out and trace the banner onto a piece of black canvas using chalk. We had a few DIY Black Canvas Banners left over from the DIY Cute Ghost Garland that we used to make the mini banner for this project. Waste not, want not.

To transfer the template onto the Black Canvas, rub the back of the template with White Chalk and loosely cut out the letters. Place the chalked template onto the canvas and trace over the letter with a ballpoint pen or pencil. Remove the template and repeat his process for the remainder of the letters. Use a flat-bristled paint brush and acrylic paint to paint the traced letters and allow time for the paint to dry.

Glue the mini banner onto a length of Black Baker’s Twine and adhere the banner to the wood square with hot glue. Tie two mini bows from baker’s twine. Glue the bows and a Tiny Pom Pom to the ghost to finish it off.

Set your finished sign up on your mantle to add a bit of whimsy to your DIY ghost decorations. Don’t forget to download the DIY Cute Ghost template here.
