Start by painting a wood craft ring with white acrylic paint. Add a second coat if needed and let dry completely.

Add a pencil to each of the four sides of the wreath with a bead of hot glue along the bottom of the pencil. The pencils should be at right angles to each other. These pencils can be customized with the teacher's name for a special touch!

Now add another pencil in the middle of each of the four pencils. Continue adding pencils in this manner until you have added 32 pencils around the wreath. The pencils come in a pack of 76 so you will have plenty extra to give the teacher to use in her classroom!

Beginning at the bottom right side of the wreath, add a crayon to the space between each pencil with hot glue. I added my crayons in rainbow order, eliminating the black and brown from these packs of crayons.

Use alphabet tiles to spell the words "welcome to". Add the tiles to the top of the wreath with hot glue.

Add the teacher's name to these composition book cutouts with letter stickers. Glue to the right side of the wreath, overlapping slightly.

Add a mini chalkboard to the wreath by pulling off the wood stand on the back and adding with hot glue. Use a chalk marker to write the grade.

Surprise your child's teacher with the wreath on the first day of school!
