Using white acrylic paint and a foam brush, paint the front half of the cork. Paint 95 corks. Stand upright to dry.

First, remove the glass from the shadow box. After the paint is dry, create a herringbone pattern with the corks. Refer to the picture for the herringbone pattern detail. Use a hot glue gun to adhere the corks to the shadow box frame.

Continue gluing the back of the corks to the shadow box frame until you fill completely.

Once you have filled as much of the frame as you can, use a pencil to mark off the area of corks that do not fit completely. I did this on the top and bottom areas of the cork board.

Use an X-Acto knife to cut the corks to the desired size. Be very careful with the X-Acto. I recommend using a self-healing board to cut on. Glue the cork onto the cork board. Then decorate!
