Fold a Large White Doily in half.

Cut the doily in half leaving the fold in tact. Each doily will make two pouches.

Use your sewing machine to sew the non-lace sides of the doily shut using at least a ¼” seam. No need to backstitch and it really doesn’t need to be a perfectly straight line.

Remove the paper doily, which has now essentially turned into a pouch, from your sewing machine. At this point you can either personalize your pouches with a sticker that matches your theme or leave them plain. Add in 2-3 pinches of dried florals. For our pouches we used an assortment of rosebuds, marigolds and lavender.

Once the pouches are full, sew along the top, lace side of the doily and voila! Natural confetti pouches that not only look pretty, but are great smelling and great for the environment. Make these in assembly line fashion and you will have a bunch of pouches in no time at all.

These pouches look great displayed in a wooden tray, basket, or tin bucket. These pouches would also make great wedding favors for your guests. The perforation the sewing machine made, makes it easy for you guests to rip open the packets.
