Begin by taking one half of one of the Ginormous Easter Eggs and place a piece of Painter’s tape wherever you would like the line for your color blocking to be. We did two eggs with a diagonal line and two with a horizontal line.

Head to a well ventilated area to begin spray painting. We used a mix of light pink, fuchsia, light blue, turquoise and gold for our eggs. Our example egg will be light blue and gold. We started with the light blue paint and carefully painted one half of the egg. Take the gold spray paint and paint the other half of the egg. Allow the egg to dry completely before handling.

Once the paint is dry, cover the blue painter’s tape with your choice of washi tape from the Turquoise and Gold Washi Tape set. We just loved the modern patterns on this tape set!

Repeat steps 1-3 with 3 other Ginormous Easter Eggs, varying the colors and Washi Tape.
Place the Eggs on the Large Canvas Board to determine spacing. Once you determine where the eggs should go, line the edge of the Eggs with Hot Glue and adhere to the Canvas Board.

Your DIY Color Block Egg Sign is complete! We showcased our sign at our recent Modern Easter Party! We loved it’s contemporary look and the pop of color it added to the party! And it was the perfect backdrop for our dining table!
