Trim a small section of a paper straw to create a tube that will hold the wheels together. Suggested sizes are 1” to 1 1/2” sections.
Using a piece of craft wire that’s approximately 6" - 8” long, thread the wire through two of the holes on a button and pull the wire through so that the button ends up in the center of the wire section. Twist the two ends of the wire together to secure the button to the wire.
To attach the other wheel, thread the wires through the paper straw section and into two holes of a second button, twist the wire to secure the button, trim excess wire and push the end into the button hole to finish.
Repeat above steps to create second set of wheels.
Decorate a clothespin as desired with Washi tape or paint.
Place the paper straw wheel sections into the center of the car’s body. One set can rest inside the “grip mouth” area of the clothespin and one set can slide between the two ends of the clothespin.
Secure with hot glue if desired.
