Keeping the lid on, apply a long length of washi tape across the DIY Ceramic Egg Boxes. Try putting the washi tape on at different angles for each of the boxes so they're each unique.

Paint one section of the egg box using a flat bristled brush and acrylic paint. Allow time for the paint to dry.

Remove the washi tape and re-apply it along the straight edge of the last section you painted. Paint that section with gold paint and allow time for the paint to dry.

Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge® over the gold painted area of one of the egg boxes. While the Mod Podge® is still wet, carefully apply gold leaf or gold glitter. We chose to do one of each! One glittered, one just painted gold, and one using gold foil. Use a chubby paint brush to brush the excess gold leaf off the egg. Once dry, apply another layer of Mod Podge® over the glitter or foil to lock them in place. Allow time for the Mod Podge® to dry.

Easy and fun to make, these DIY Ceramic Egg Boxes are not only cute and modern but functional as well! Use them to hold wrapped candy or a little gift for that egg-tra special person this Easter season.
