
Begin by ironing your Burlap Pillow Square.

Using a ruler, measure out 3 in. increments and place painters tape down to add stripes to the Burlap Pillow Square.



Once you have the painters tape on the Burlap Pillow Square, you are ready to add the paint. We used white paint and applied it with a sponge brush. Let dry completely before next step. Pro tip: Place a piece of paper or cardboard into the Burlap Pillow Square to keep the paint from bleeding through.



Download the Free Nautical Anchor Printable here and cut it out. Tape onto the center of the Burlap Pillow Square. Trace around it with a pen or blue marker. Remove template.

Use a navy blue paint and paint the anchor that you have just outlined.
We loved using this paint set because it had all the colors we needed for all our other nautical decor. But not navy. I used the blue and black to mix up the PERFECT navy color.
The best paint brush for this project was in this paint brush super value pack.



Once the paint is completely dry, you can add some more texture and dimension to the Burlap Pillow Square by hot gluing on some natural cording to the edges. Use hot glue to attach the natural cording to the Burlap Pillow Square.
