Next, download the free printable bat wing template here. Trace wings onto black felt using a chalk pencil. Cut out two wings per container.

Break off about 1/2" from the end of each craft stick, then add to each bat wing using hot glue. This will give them more stability. Be sure to position the stick with the flat end pointed just behind the square notch portion of the wing. Not pictured, and optional, paint the sticks with black acrylic paint so they blend in seamlessly with the felt.

Now the wings are ready to be attached to the containers. Fold the square notch portion of each wing inward towards the stick, and then apply hot glue to the spot you have folded back. Affix the wings onto either side of the container toward the top and center, adding more hot glue if needed.

Trace and cut the pieces for the bow onto pink felt. To form the bow, snip a small slit in the middle of the flat ends, then cross the two pieces over each other and hot glue so each piece has a slight pucker. This will give the bows a little more dimension. Next, hot glue the two bow pieces together by overlapping the points, and then hot glue the oval piece on top to form the center.

After gluing the bow onto the top of each newly formed bat container, it's time to fill them with goodies! I added a bit of stretchable spider web, which was spray painted with a light coat of pink to match our theme's color scheme, to the bottom of each box. Each container received a black bat straw, white plastic vampire fangs, and a mini plastic candy container filled with black, pink and white Sixlets.
