Place the paper towel roll on a flat hard surface so that it's standing up. Place a diaper around the paper towel roll, one at a time, so that they are lying horizontally and are overlapping each other. Continue adding diapers until the base layer is as wide as you'd like it.

Tie some string around the diapers tightly so that they are held in place. This is definitely easier with a buddy helping! Trim the excess string with scissors.

Repeat the above process for the second and third diaper layers, making each layer smaller than the next. Tie off each layer with string.

Wrap a piece of blue ribbon around the string on each layer so that the string is covered. Use small dots of hot glue to adhere the ribbon in place. Repeat with the orange personalized ribbon, centering it over the blue ribbon and adhering it with dots of hot glue.

Add basketball bouncy balls and basketball stress balls to the diaper cake, then use hot glue to attach.

Place a large trophy on the top of the cake, then add a basketball on top of the trophy.

Add in a Basketball Pennant Flag that you can make yourself for some added flair and color. I just stuck the wood stick inside the diapers and it held in place perfectly!

Proudly display your Basketball Diaper Cake at a Basketball Baby Shower to spoil the mama-to-be. It makes a great baby shower gift and matches our DIY Tiered Basketball Serving Tray perfectly! Don't forget to style your party with our DIY Basketball Pennant Flags, too!
