Download the Free Advent Calendar Printable here! I made my numbers 2″ tall.
Cut a piece of freezer paper to fit over each number, then trace number onto freezer paper with pencil.

Using an exacto, cut out each number. This takes a little practice, but before you know it, you will be cutting out the numbers quickly.

Place the freezer paper stencil onto the center of the bag and using a hot iron, press it onto bag. Place a piece of paper in the middle of the bag so the paint doesn’t seep through.

Use craft paint over the stencil. Let dry.

Gently peel off the stencil and remove paper from inside of bag.

Then it’s time to fill with your favorite goodies. After you’ve filled each bag, cut pieces of baker’s twine in several different lengths and tie your bags onto a dowel rod. I had the dowel rod laying on the floor while I tied each bag on. Then tie a long piece of twine to each end of the dowel rod and hang with tape or nail onto the wall.
