Begin by downloading and printing the "Hey Sugar" free printable template here. Peel the protective film from the front and back sides of the clear acrylic sign and position the sign on top of the printable where you would like the wording to be written. Using a chisel tipped chalk marker, trace over the "Hey Sugar" phrase. I started by tracing the outline then filled in the insides of each letter afterwards. The first layer won't be perfect, but you can go over the letters again once the first layer has dried. Since the chalk is not permanent, you can easily wipe away any mistakes with a damp cloth.

Once the chalk has dried, turn the sign over. Using a fine tipped paint brush, mix a few drops of water and gold paint in a cup together. Lightly tap the gold paint/water mixture in a splatter pattern over the entire back of the sign. Set aside to dry.

Ensure the gold splatter paint has fully dried then paint the bottom half of your sign in a darker coral. Let paint dry then paint the upper half of the sign in a lighter coral using a sponge brush. Make sure to take care and not extend the paint completely to the edges of the sign. I applied two layers of each color to this sign for a more opaque finish.

After the paint has dried, turn the sign over to the front and touch up any chalk that may have chipped off while painting the back. Next, remove a few stems from the silver dollar eucalyptus garland and adhere to the upper right corner of the sign using glue dots. Using a few additional glue dots, secure the flower head of a coral caledonia dahlia to the center of the eucalyptus.
