Remove the protective film from the Clear Acrylic Sign. Position the calligraphy quote template behind the sign. Using a permanent gold metallic sharpie trace the calligraphy quote onto the acrylic sign. Let it dry.
Alternatively, if you have a cutting machine (e.g. Cricut©), convert the PDF file into a JPG and cut the quote out of gold foil. I used the Broadway Script font.

Next, turn the sign over so that the quote is face down on the table.
Using a wide foam paintbrush, paint the back of the acrylic sign green. Paint in wide strokes of varying lengths.
Note: Do not paint the entire sign. Leave unpainted portions so you don't loose the look and feel of the acrylic. Do, however, paint behind each word so that they can be seen.
Note: You may need more than one coat to prevent streaks in the paint that can be seen through the acrylic. OR you may prefer the streaked look.

Once the paint has dried, flip the sign back to show the words with the paint behind it.
Next, using a small paint brush, brush small pieces of gold foil leaf onto the front of the sign.
To do this, twist the brush gently against the foil until it attaches to the brush. Then stroke the pieces onto the acrylic. No adhesive is required. The foil will stick to the acrylic without it and can be moved into different positions (or removed) easily.
Optional: Use a clear sealant to protect the front of the sign like Mod Podge.

Finally, put the sign into the acrylic stand provided and sit it on top of a White Square Gift Box With Gold Trim to give it some height next to the cake.
