Begin by painting a DIY Slat Sign pale pink.

While the paint on the sign is drying, spell out the words "Mrs Claus' Bake Shop" using natural wood letters. Paint each of the letters with pale green paint.

Next, paint two DIY Unfinished Wood Candy Cane Cutouts white. Be sure to turn them to face each other, forming a heart shape and paint the opposite side of each.

Once the paint on the sign has dried, measure about 1" in from the outer edges of the sign and apply a border using washi tape. Be sure to smooth the tape firmly so it forms a crisp barrier on the sign. Now paint the outer border with light blue paint. Remove the tape while the paint is still slightly wet.

Now that the white paint is dry on the candy cane shapes, apply short pieces of washi tape on a slight angle to create stripes. Smooth the tape firmly against the shapes, and then paint the stripes with bright pink paint.

Ensure the outer light blue border on the sign is dry, then cover with tape. Dip the end of a paintbrush in gold paint and lightly tap over the pink portion of the sign to give it a slight splatter effect.

Once the gold paint has dried, arrange the two candy cane shapes in the center of the sign to form a heart. Using hot glue, adhere the candy canes to the sign. Next, use hot glue to add the letters to spell out Mrs Claus' Bake Shop around the candy canes.

Next, sort two white snowflake stickers and affix them to the center of the sign on either side of the candy cane heart.

Finally, display your cute new sign on your dessert buffet next to your freshly baked goods during your Merry and Bright Cookie Exchange Party for all to admire!
