Decorate your DIY umbrella with tons of stickers and washi tape to create interesting designs and shapes that will later come off creating a great pattern or design on your umbrella.

Use a sponge and fabric paint to cover your umbrella, including the stickers. You could use a paint brushas well, but we enjoyed dipping and dabbing with a small sponge. Our set up looked like this.

Get out the neon spray paints and start spraying. The colors of these spray paints are awesome. Just a reminder, they can be challenging for little hands. You may want to have an adult do this part and let your child point to where they want each color.

Let the umbrellas dry and peel off the stickers and tape to see the negative space underneath.
