Serving caviar with ice-cold vodka is a traditional pairing. Start by styling from the center with your largest piece of serving ware holding the caviar selection; I used a large glass trough that was originally a terrarium as my central caviar showcase. It holds the ice perfectly, a large beverage tub would also work. This was filled with a 7lb bag of ice and placed on top of 2 wooden crates sprayed gold. Having the higher tier allowed each caviar to be clearly seen.

Showcase each caviar by placing the original jar on top of more ice placed inside Mini Diamond Cut Plastic Pedestal Dishes. The caviar is kept in its original jar on top of the ice with the lid displayed. This shows it has just been opened and is very fresh in addition to guests seeing the type of caviar available. Caviar should be VERY cold and kept away from metal. Use a small spoon made of bone, horn mother-of-pearl, or plastic for serving.
I also added bowls of capers and lemon for those eating smoked salmon rather than caviar.

I flanked each side with the vodka, blini and toast presentation. To the right I used a champagne tub spray painted gold to hold the vodka selections on top of ice.
I also sprayed the elegant Silver 2-Tiered Metal Server gold and displayed toast slices and blini to be used with the caviar. I had a lot of fun with the blini stringing them on a wire to create a round of upright blini that wraps around the bottom tier of the server.
On the left, I added my Quick & Easy Blini, Smoked Salmon and Caviar Hors-d'oeuvres display.

When I was in Russia we toasted with shots of Vodka, tapping them on the table before toasting and drinking.
Try flavored vodkas for this experience or have some fun infusing plain vodka with fruit flavors. I had 4 different options including flavored vodka for shots.
I wanted pretty, romantic shot glasses for this Russian Fairytale Inspired Bridal Shower. I placed Clear Glass Shot Glasses inside of the White Hobnail Votive Holders. They fit perfectly and gave an elegant look lined up on a plain white tray I had at home.

Next, I added decor items that give the Vodka & Caviar bar a wintry fairy-tale feel. A White Antler 3-Candle Holder with red taper candles, a White Cut-Out Dots Candle Holder, a handful of cotton plants, red winter berries, dried orange slices and small antlers sprayed gold.

Finally, I added bar & food station signage by Jen T By Design. It uses a beautiful watercolor design that modernizes the colors of the Russian Nesting Dolls that inspired my Russian Fairytale Inspired Bridal Shower & is available to download. It captures the vodka & traditional Zakuski menu.
Zakuski refers to hot and cold hors-d'oeuvres that follow shots of vodka. Literally, "something to bite after". In addition to blini, caviar, and fish you can also add cold cuts, pickled vegetables, cheeses, etc. I hope you enjoy creating your own Vodka & Caviar Tasting Bar as much as I did!
