Download the Free Craft Tube Mermaid Printable Template here! Cut out the templates and trace onto the cardstock color of your choosing for each piece. I chose purple hair, a pink top, and blue tail pieces.

Use scissors to fringe the hair. Space cuts about 1cm apart and be careful not to cut through the top of the hair. After the hair has been cut, use a pencil to roll each piece around individually to create the curls.

To create the scales of the tail you will need a piece of bubble wrap, glitter, paint, a paintbrush, and the two tail pieces. Use a paint brush to brush paint on the bubble wrap and then place on the tail piece, like a stamp. Remove the bubble wrap and sprinkle with glitter. You need to work quickly to get the glitter on before the paint dries. Repeat on the second tail piece.

After the paint dries you can assemble your mermaid. Use either a hot glue gun or a glue stick to adhere the tail piece to the craft tube and then attach the fin onto the back. Next glue on the top and finally the hair. Be sure and line the opening of the hair up with the top so her face will be in the right spot.

Once your mermaid has been assembled, it is time to add her face. Use a fine tip Sharpie® to draw on eyes and a small nose. Use your finger tip to dot a light pink paint on as her cheeks. Finish her off by placing a flower in her hair. This one was cut from cardstock and has a rhinestone in the center.
