
Put down a protective surface and gather your materials. Using your desired color of paint markers begin painting the top edge of the shadow box structure as shown below. These broad tipped paint markers make it easy for a kiddo to effectively help create this. Of course all coordination is a bit different but my Mini is four and did this all on her own.

Measure the interior of each opening. The structure is slightly irregular, so you do have to measure each individually. Use these measurements to begin cutting scraps of patterned paper.

Adhere rubber cement to the back side of the papers and press down firmly in the opening to secure.

Locate a spot to hang your new shadow box and have your kiddo start filling with special mementos.
