
You can use a 6″ wreath form, or to save money, you can create your own with some foam board. Use a 6″ in diameter object, like a bowl and trace it. Place a 3 to 3 1/2″ in diameter circular object in the middle and trace it. Cut along the pencil lines with an Xacto knife. The final dimensions of the wreath form used in this tutorial was 6″ and 3.25″ in diameters.

Grab 45 paper straws. Glue 4 straws to the wreath form to create 4 quadrants, making the straws flush with the inside of the wreath form. Within one quadrant, glue a straw in the middle. Fill in the remaining space with more straws, making sure that the straws are equal distance apart. Repeat with the remaining 3 quadrants.

Cut 42 straws down to 6″ in length. Glue them in between the straws on the first layer.

Cut 42 straws down to 4″ in length. Glue them in between the straws on the second layer.



Bend the can tab slightly. Turn the wreath over and glue the can tab on. If you need a bigger hook, you can attach a bigger piece of ribbon instead.

This DIY Wreath will definitely add plenty of charm to any front door. And since it’s pink it would be great for Valentine’s Day, plus you can keep it up throughout spring and summer. Or if you want to be able to use it during the Christmas season, you can use red striped paper straws or red polka dot paper straws.
