Cut off small strips of American Crafts adult coloring washi tape using scissors. Lay the strips down in the center sections of each white White Triangle Bead Tray. Match like patterns together for a seamless look. It’s okay for the tape to run up the sides of the tray by a little in order to fully over the flat center surface. Press the tape firmly down with your fingertips.

Color the washi tape pattern in using Stabilo Point 88 Pens. You can cover as much or as little of the pattern as you choose. Allow the completed ink finish to cure for about 10 minutes before handling.

Carefully (but firmly) run a razor blade across the edges of the interior center surfaces of each of the trays in order to remove the excess tape.

Discard the excess tape, and you’re done. Now simply situate your finished washi tape project on your nightstand or in your vanity drawers, and fill the trays with your favorite small scale jewels in order to keep them from tangling up or rolling away!

Be sure to check out our other Supply of the Month projects including these projects using color-your-own washi tape.
