Measure the length of your ribbon by wrapping it around a standard-sized chapter book. Cut a little shorter to account for the stretchy rubberband. Use a dab of fray check on each end of the ribbon to prevent fraying. Allow to dry.
Take a rubber band and fold one end of the ribbon over the rubber band. Using your needle and thread, sew the two ends of the ribbon together to hold the rubber band in place

On the opposite end of the ribbon, sew on your button using a needle and thread. Trim off any excess thread. Wrap the bookmark around the page you are marking and secure the rubber band around the button. That’s it!

For the first paper clip bookmark, start by simply wrapping a few layers of washi tape around the top of the paper clip.
Cut one long strip of washi tape and stick one end over the tape you wrapped around the paper clip.

Fold the other end down and stick it to the opposite side of the clip. Wrap another layer or two around the base.

Cut a small triangle in the top of the washi tape. We combined two colors for more fun!

For the second paper clip bookmark, cut two pieces of ribbon. Cut the pieces twice as long as you want them; we will be folding them in half.
Pull both pieces of ribbon through the top of your large paper clip. Fold them in half.

Use a mini glue dot to hold them together at the bottom. Use the fray check on the ends of the ribbon and dry thoroughly.
Cut small triangles from the ends of the ribbons (4 total). Using your needle and thread, sew the felt dove on the ribbon (making sure the needle goes through all four layers when sewing).

Choose one chenille stem for each bookmark. Grab the letter beads to spell out your name. Slide the letters beads on in order.

Add a few colorful pony beads to either side of the name. Bend the stem to form a circle with the name.
Wrap the extra piece of chenille stem at the base of the beads to hold them in place. Pretty easy right!?

Using yellow construction paper, cut a 6×6″ square. Fold the square in half to form a triangle.

Fold both ends of the triangle in towards the middle. Unfold the two ends.
Grab the center triangle (just one) and fold downward. Take both ends on either side and fold them into the pocket you’ve made. Tuck the last piece in as well.

Using Sharpies, create your emoji. My daughter, Ella, chose to make the emoji with heart eyes!
Slide the corner bookmark onto the edge of the book where you want to hold your page.

For the shark, repeat the same steps above but leave the last piece un-tucked.
Cut a small red triangle for the mouth. Cut a white rectangle the same width as the triangle. Cut mini triangles out of one end of the white rectangle to make the teeth. Glue on the red triangle for the mouth and add the white teeth over the red triangle.

Use glue dots to attach the googly eyes. Cut another small triangle from the blue construction paper to make a shark fin. Glue the fin to the back of the bookmark.
Slide the shark over the page you want to hold.
