Next, use a flat-bristled paint brush and acrylic paint to paint the DIY Wood Halloween Words using your drawn lines as a guide. Once the paint is dry, use a flat-bristled paint brush to apply a thin layer of Mod Podge®. While the Mod Podge® is still wet, shake on a layer of black American Crafts Moxy Chasing Rainbow Extra Fine Glitter making sure to shake off the excess onto a piece of scrap paper and set aside to dry.

To create the wreath form, use a flat-bristled paint brush and acrylic to paint a Large Embroidery Hoop black.

Cut 6-8" lengths of Black & White Striped Ribbon and tie the ribbon into a knot. For our wreath we cut about 52 lengths of striped ribbon.

Fold the ribbon ends in half and cut the ribbon on an angle to create fishtail ribbon ends. Seal the ends of the ribbon with fray check or a lighter.

Glue the knots of the ribbon onto the painted embroidery hoop using hot glue.

Cut 4-5" lengths of Black Webbed Ribbon and glue them onto the painted embroidery hoop using a bamboo skewer to help hold down the ribbon until the hot glue sets.

Use hot glue to adhere the DIY Wood Halloween Words to the front of the wreath.

Change the paint colors to match your Halloween décor. We chose the pastel color palette to coordinate with the rest of our Creepy and Kawaii Halloween Mantel Décor. Hang the wreath on an empty black frame to really make an impact on your Halloween mantel this year.
