Line up all of the buckets in a simple line, so they are easy to stuff. I made one line for student gifts and one line for parent gifts. These buckets are wonderful because they can be repurposed easily!
To make the parent gifts a bit fuller, I cut some tissue paper into fourths. I used my favorite Fiskar Scissors. I then stuffed the bottom of the bucket with the tissue paper. The items will sit on top of the tissue paper instead of falling below the brim.
I started with the student gifts first. I placed an Expo Marker, Pop Rocks, small notebooks, pencils, and fun rulers in each bucket. Almost all of the items will be used in the classroom. The Pop Rocks are for fun and will have a fun gift tag to go along with it!
Now it is time to put together the parent gifts. After stuffing the tissue paper in the bottom of the buckets, I placed some fun items that they might find useful during the school year. I included an apple stress ball, an apple notepad, an apple pen, and an apple caramel lollipop!
Each bucket for the student and parent gifts will get a special gift tag that goes along with the theme of the gift. The student's gift tag has a "rock" theme to match the Pop Rocks. The parent's tag has an "apple" theme to match the apple items! All you need to do is print your tags on white paper and sign your name. Download the Free Printable Gift Tags here.
Using ruler tape, I attached the gift tags to the buckets. The tape goes great with the school theme and is easy to remove if you would like to reuse the bucket for something else at a later time!
