Lay out your desired number of leaves on newspaper, and using a foam paintbrush, begin painting leaves your desired color. I chose to just use white. Place leaves on a baking rack to dry so they don’t stick to the newspaper.
Once leaves are dry, choose an accent color to add to the edges. Here I used gold metallic mixed with a little red, to create a warm copper color. Dip your sponge brush in the paint and then dab/wipe where desired. You can just keep building color to create the look you want. Let dry.
Lay your leaves face down in your desired pattern. Place a drop of glue at the top of each leaf and lay your bakers twine on top. Continue until you reach your desired length.
Hang your garland! I really love how simple and understated this garland looks above my table. It’s the perfect finishing touch I was looking for!
