Begin creating your sign by adding two lengths of washi tape on the diagonal to both the top left and the bottom corner of a stained wood plank sign. The first piece of tape is just over 1" from the corner; the second piece is placed about 1/2" below the first. Be sure to press firmly along the edges of the tape to ensure paint does not seep underneath it.
Paint the top corner triangles of the sign light pink. I added a bit of white to the pink color so it took a few coats to achieve a fully opaque color.
Once you have painted the outer corners pink, apply a few coats of light blue paint to the inner taped off sections.
Remove a few sprigs from the faux fern mat and paint them pink and blue. I used one of each color for the sign.
While the painted sprigs of fern are drying, download and print the free Aloha Baby printable and rub a pencil or piece of chalk over the wording. Turn the printable over and place in the center of the sign. Use a pencil to trace the outline of the wording to transfer it onto the sign.
Using a fine tipped paint brush, carefully fill in the outlined wording on the sign with white acrylic paint.
Cut four sprigs of greenery from the faux fern mat with scissors and hot glue them to the stained wood plank sign on the diagonal in the upper right corner. Remove the washi tape from the areas you have painted once you have achieved the desired paint coverage.
Once the painted fern sprigs have dried, add one pink and one blue to the center of each of the natural green sprigs in the upper right corner of the sign. Secure with hot glue.
Finally, using hot glue, adhere one plumeria flower to the center of the sprigs of fern.
