Measure the width of your mallet handle then carefully drill a hole in the bottom and top of your plastic flamingos. I used a 1 1/2" spade drill bit since my mallet handles measured 1 1/2" around.
If desired, paint your flamingos to match the color of your Alice in Wonderland party and allow to dry. Remove the wire legs from each flamingo.
