Set up your work space with all the supplies. I found it helpful to cover the table with a drop cloth – you’ll want to be careful when using these multi-surface paints with children as they are permanent once they dry on fabric! I kept the paint palette paired down, by choosing four colors that complimented each other. I squeezed a little of each paint into a palette and gave each of my daughters a pot holder on a craft tray to help contain their painting.

Use the circular brushes in an up and down blotting motion to create polka dots. I recommend having the kids dab the paint brush on a paper plate before stamping on the pot holder to remove any excess paint.

You can also use the small circular brushes to create lines by dipping them in the paint and drawing with them.

Keep adding designs to your pot holder until you have it just how you like it! You’ll want to use a different paint brush for each color to avoid mixing colors.

Let dry completely!

Didn’t these pot holders turn out so cute? I love seeing all the different designs together! These are so easy to wrap up as a fun homemade gift for Mom or Grandma!
