Cut a variety of paper squares, in size and color. The larger the square, the larger the flower will be. I used 3 x 3″, 4 x 4″ and 5 x 5″ squares. Draw a spiral on each paper square. Starting from the center of the square, draw circles until you reach the outer edge of the paper.

Using scissors, cut around the paper spiral. Remove excess paper. Starting where you ended the spiral on your square, cut the inner circle all the way to the center.

Once you have completed cutting the spiral, wrap the paper around a medium sized nail or pencil. The smaller the object you wrap around, the tighter the flower will be in the center.

Slide the paper off the nail. You will need to loosen the flower a bit to make it full. Once you have your desired flower fullness, use an adhesive dot to secure the flower in place at the bottom.

Repeat steps 1-4 to create additional flowers. Attach flowers to the DIY boxes with ribbon using the adhesive dots.

There you have it! Easy DIY paper flowers. Were these easy for you to make? How do you plan to use your paper flowers? They would also make an awesome wreath for Valentine’s Day home decor.
