Invite your kids to use markers to color the pieces of the DIY Nativity Christmas Ornament.

Once the ornament is decorated, use a hot glue gun to attach baby Jesus, Mary, Joseph, and the star to the stable.

Now it's time to create the paper chain. First, choose your favorite patterns from the Christmas/Winter Paper Pack. Next, use scissors or a paper cutter to cut the pieces of paper into 9.5"x1.25" strips. You'll need 24 strips total.

Download the Free Advent Acts of Kindness Printables here and print on white cardstock. Use scissors to cut out the strips. You can use the ideas that are printed or write your own acts of kindness on the blank ones!

Use a glue stick to attach the Advent Acts of Kindness ideas to the strips of paper.

Now that the ideas are attached to the strips of paper, it's time to assemble the paper chain countdown. Make the first link by putting GlueDots® on one side of the paper and then matching up the other side to form a ring. To make the second link, thread another strip of paper through the center of the loop and join the ends of this second strip together with GlueDots®. Repeat with the other strips until you have 24 links on your paper chain.

Use a hot glue gun to attach the paper chain countdown to the decorated Nativity Christmas Ornament. Then, create a loop and tie a knot in the included brown twine and glue it to the back of the ornament.

Hang up the finished Advent Acts of Kindness Paper Chain Christmas Countdown somewhere in your home or on your Christmas tree. Each day leading up to Christmas, remove a paper chain, follow the prompt, and watch your hearts fill up with joy as you create incredible memories loving and serving others as a family.
