
Using scissors, and 2 paper plates (this is a great Adult part to the craft), cut a line from one end of each paper plate to the middle. Equal distance on both.

Put together the paper plates by sliding them together through the cuts you just made.

Using colored pencils, let little ones color the free printable Monkey sheet. Using scissors, cut out the monkeys and alligator or bed. Download the Free Monkey Printable here!

Using glue sticks, glue on the monkeys and bed or alligator. Glue the monkeys on the top half of the plates, from 1-5. Glue the bed or alligator on the bottom half of the plates.



Teach beginning subtraction by counting down with the plates as you go. Move the paper plate to the right and cover up the monkeys as you sing the "5 Monkeys Songs."
