If the broom fits, fly it! Invite your best witches over for an intimate ghouls' night IN this Halloween! I've always felt more at home in small group settings, and given the current health crisis, pint-sized parties are where it's at! Having a smaller guest list doesn't mean you can't go big on the decor. Wow your ghoulfriends with the most wicked awesome ambiance that'll keep them talking for years to come!
Lace up your boots and grab your broom because it's time to fly into to the most magical witch-themed party!
We set a bewitching scene that knocked our guests' witchy stockings right off!
Our decor started from the top down with the addition of a stunning DIY Witch's Broom Chandelier suspended over our dining table from the ceiling.
We created this wicked awesome beauty in just a few simple steps, but to merely say she made a big impact on the overall mood of the party is an understatement!
Be sure to catch the full details to create your own DIY Witch's Broom Chandelier here!
We mixed Pampas Grass with various bunches of dried floral filler to create the brush portion of the broom. Eucalyptus sprigs gathered with painted peonies and zinnias added a gorgeous pop of color to finish it off.
Small Round Hanging Globes were then suspended from the branch turned witch's broom using various lengths of black ribbon.
The globes were filled with Burgundy Sand for texture and color and Black Battery Operated Votive Candles, which offered a lovely ambient glow to our space.
An ethereal DIY Layered Fabric Backdrop dressed up the back wall of our dining room perfectly and set the scene for many a selfie!
Strips of gold, gray and Wine Voile Sheer Fabric was tied to Natural Jute Cording and then hung from hooks on the ceiling. Panels of Natural Creepy Cloth and Deluxe Creepy Cloth were draped over small tree branches to provide another layer of texture.
DIY bouquets of painted peonies, zinnias and bundles of Pampas Grass appeared to hover in front of the backdrop thanks to long strands of black ribbon. The full Layered Fabric Backdrop tutorial can be found here.
Setting A Spooktakular Table
Beautiful botanicals and wine-colored taper candles invited guests to sit for a spell.
To create our inviting tablescape, we first began by draping a Deluxe Creepy Cloth down the center of our dining table, which offset the wood nicely.
Next, we gave Cheers Test Tube Shot Glasses and a Test Tube Shooter Rack a spooky chic spin by turning them into a stunning vase for the center of the table!
The test tubes were filled with florals, both dried and faux, and sprigs of eucalyptus. Small Amber Glass Bud Vases sat on either side of the centerpiece and held vibrant blooms and Mini Witch Brooms.
DIY Witch Hats perched atop gold spray painted Silvertone Taper Candle Holders and offered a bit of whimsy to the table.
Additional Amber Glass Bud Vases and Black Craft Pumpkins were mixed in to fill out the table decor.

Bewitching Place Settings
Gold Laser Cut Cardstock Chargers that we painted plum were placed under Black Scalloped Dinner Plates to add a punch of color to each of our place settings.
Effortless, yet elegant, place cards were created by first painting mini black cauldrons a deep shade of purple and then filling them with simple greens and hydrangea blooms. Guests' names were printed onto White Cardstock and hot glued to the front of each. To give the paper a slightly purple-gray hue, we soaked it in red wine for a few minutes and then let it air dry!
An adorable DIY Unfinished Wood Witch was painted in coordinating shades and placed alongside our mini cauldron place cards atop each plate. Guests were delighted to keep both items as little mementoes!
We concocted delicious potions, which were poured into Large Favor Tubes and tied up with Natural Dried Raffia Ribbon and wickedly punny tags, to sit in the middle of each place setting. You can download the free printable "drink up witches" tags here! We printed ours onto simple White Cardstock.
Gold hammered forks received a bit of wine colored paint and rested atop Black Witch Personalized Napkins. We chose the phrase "so fly" as a cheeky pun to describe our best witches!
Each place setting was rounded out with a mini bottle of bubbly and a Black Patterned Plastic Wine Glass ready to be filled to the brim.
Potent Sweets & Sips
Our gold and wood tone bar cart looked positively bewitching all decked out with vibrant blooms and a Silver Dollar Eucalyptus Garland.
The top of our bar cart held a gorgeous arrangement in a vase crafted from a Clear Glass Milk Bottle, painted black and gold, alongside a plum and black painted Hammered Gold Interior Decorative Bowl, which held chocolates. Vintage Mercury Potion Bottles came to life when positioned upon a bold plum painted laser cut charger. One of the bottles was topped off with another of our DIY Witch Hats adorned with a few blooms.
The cheeky pun from our dinner napkins became a focal point on our bar cart and had everyone cackling! We crafted the sign by giving a DIY Slat Sign a wine colored background and then attached the phrase after cutting it on black adhesive vinyl. It was an easy peasy way to add a pop of fun to our cart! You can download a free printable "She's So Fly" sign here.
The bottom of our cart displayed another DIY Witch Hat alongside a Silver Three Arm Candelabra that received a makeover thanks to a bit of black spray paint.
Well HELLO delectable double chocolate cake! All of the witches were more than happy to nosh on the incredible dessert at the end of the evening!
We placed a small wooden stool to the side of our bar cart to round out our decor. A Feathered Crow looked right at home perched atop a Foam Pumpkin sitting on the stool. A painted DIY Unfinished Wood Witch and a black and gold painted Clear Glass Milk Bottle turned vase, filled with vibrant blooms, finished off the vignette.
Cheers, witches! We hope you've found some inspiration to host your own ghouls' night in this season!
