"Going so soon? I wouldn't hear of it. Why my little party's just beginning." Nothing says wicked like a party dedicated on one of cinema's most decidedly evil witches of all time, The Wicked Witch of the West! This Wicked Witch Dinner Party is full of classic Oz imagery and a color palette designed around one of the most iconic villains. We brought in bold emerald green, bewitching black and of course a chic stripe and pops of gold to create the ultimate wicked dinner party. Toss in a twist of old Hollywood glamour and you'll be hosting a soirée fit for the most wicked of witches!
The Table:
Our dining table was clad in a White Table Cloth topped with a layer of Black and White Striped Gossamer for an elegantly evil display.
The Place Settings:
Each place setting consisted of a Scalloped Charger Plate which was painted emerald green. Each Scalloped Charger was then topped with a Black Plastic Dinner Plate and a coordinating Black and White Striped Dessert Plate.
A stylish set of Black and Silver Cutlery rested upon an emerald Green Dinner Napkin which popped perfectly on the Black and White Striped tablecloth.
A gorgeous custom wicked witch silhouette cookie looked stunning on our Black and White Striped Dessert Plates and truly highlighted the theme of the party.
Petite Cupcake Stands worked perfectly to display emerald green dipped apples as a sweet and spooky treat. If serving treats on spray painted cupcake stands make sure to lay a napkin or cupcake liner down to keep all desserts safe to eat.
Guests perused the themed menu to choose their favorite foods for the evening.
The Drinks:
Guests sipped on Ghostly Goblets full of delicious Emerald City Cocktails that cast a smokey spell.
These wicked cocktails were the perfect addition to our dinner party and seamlessly tied into our theme. You can get the full recipe for this delicious cocktail here.
The Centerpiece:
The center of our dining table was decorated with a black sequin table runner topped with creepy Candles, emerald green potion Bottles and our DIY Crystal Ball Centerpiece.
This crystal centerpiece, inspired by the wicked witch's very own crystal ball, was created using a mix of ordinary items that we glammed up with Paint, Black Ostrich Feathers, Jumbo Quills, jewels, faux flowers and more.
You can create this spooky centerpiece at home by checking out our full tutorial here.
We added in other details to the center of our table including Candles and tinted emerald Bottles.
The Backdrop:
We dreamed up this sophisticated and bewitching backdrop to create the perfect focal point behind our dessert buffet.
We dressed our wall in Black and White Striped Gossamer to coordinate with our dining table. In the center of our backdrop sat a gold Picture Frame Cutout highlighting a monogram W embellished with emerald green watercolor paper, Emerald Beads and Feathers.
The Dessert Buffet:
Our buffet was draped in a green sequin table cloth for a glamorous look.
In the center of our table sat a watercolor style cake with splashes of color in both black and emerald.
Flanking the cake were two custom centerpieces made from Corked Bottles painted black and glittered.
Two additional cake pedestals displayed black lace wrapped cupcakes for guests to enjoy.
Monogrammed emerald and black swirl cookies looked stunning on a black tray and added another sweet treat for guests to nibble on.
The cookies looked gorgeous next to our wicked cake! This dinner party was a wickedly good time!
