Throw a Waterpalooza any kid would want for a birthday party! Bright colorful decorations are the background to this pool party full of fun and games!
When it came time to celebrate my sweet and sassy little niece's summer birthday I knew I just had to throw her a spectacular waterpalooza pool party with as much personality as she has!
My sister practically lives at my house, so I consider her kids just as much mine now. My sweet and darling niece is as girly as they get, which is fun because my own daughter who is now 13 is all tomboy. Pink is a color we don't get to have a lot around our house, so I was all about bringing in the fun color as much as I could with this party. We planned all the water activities outside, but set up a party room inside for the guests to eat and play games.
The Table For the party table, I brought my own coffee table into the party room and placed some colorful pillows on the floor to sit on. The kids LOVED this! I kept this table simple so the kids could enjoy themselves with the food and the fun games indoors. Grabbing some bright pink plates and forks brought in the girly feel while the pineapple napkins and beach paper cups brought in the summery water party vibe. Putting some cups of yummy saltwater taffy along the middle of the table was a fun touch that the kids really enjoyed. This was the perfect place to play the Don't Eat Pete game!
Pool Party Favors What's a birthday party without fun little party favors? I like to tie party favors together by creating personalized tags. The free printable party favor tag I made for this party was the perfect finishing touch!
Pool Party Food Every successful party has fun, delicious party food. We had a lot of fun creating kid-friendly bite sized food that guests could grab while playing. The beach ball drink cooler was a big hit. We filled it with ice and Capri Suns®. We skewered grapes, cheese, and teriyaki meatballs on sunglasses picks to make cute kabobs. Finally, we filled some new sand buckets with popcorn and goldfish for the kids. They used a shovel to scoop out the snacks into their individual cups. They thought that was so fun! Instead of cake, my mom decorated some cupcakes to look like little beaches with sunbathing Teddy Grahams®. Too cute! For a special cool down treat we made S'mores Sundaes that the kids were able to eat outside.
After food and snacks it was time for the kids to get their suits on and go party! My little niece thought she was quite the princess with this fun, colorful party and loved showing all of her friends the fun party room.
