When we think of summer our minds instantly dream of warm breezes, bright blooms and refreshing slices of sweet watermelon. We wanted to style a gorgeous summer bridal shower that envelops all of these summer ideals, so a romantic watermelon shower full of cascading florals and fresh watermelon details seemed perfect! This watermelon inspired bridal shower incorporated a palette including a wide array of stunning pink details, plenty of watermelon inspired fare and of course a beautiful outdoor summer backdrop.
The Table:
The table was draped in a crisp white linen table cloth so our summer florals would really stand out.
A modern pink and white striped table runner ran down the center of the table and provided a bright pop of color to surround our watermelon centerpieces.
The Place Settings:
Each place setting displayed a decorative white dinner plate layered with a coordinating white dessert plate.
Each place setting rested upon a bright green tropical leaf for a colorful touch of greenery.
A menu rested upon each place setting for guests to peruse at their convenience to enjoy a fare of delicious meal options.
White and silver utensils flanked each setting and added to the summer feel of the event.
Patterned wine glasses were full with a signature spiked watermelon limeade cocktail which coordinated perfectly with the theme and color palette.
Watermelon infused champagne was served in matching patterned champagne glasses for guested to sip on during a bridal toast and included a fresh wedge of lime for garnish.
A mix of summer florals were displayed in white hobnail votive vases to incorporate a hint of watermelon inspired color to each setting as well.
The Chairs:
We wanted our decor to extend from the table to the guest's chairs as well.
White chivari chairs sat at each place setting and were dressed up with diy chair backers made from embroidery hoops, faux eucalyptus and a mix of fresh blooms for a chic, summery touch.
The Centerpiece:
Seeing as the fruit inspired this gorgeous bridal shower, three watermelon vases took center stage within our centerpiece, boasting gorgeous bouquets of pink and green blooms for an elegant, yet whimsical arrangement. Arrangements were placed in mason jars and nestled inside the fruit to stay fresh all day long.
In the middle of our centerpiece was our largest watermelon, which allowed us to create some height differentiation and a larger floral arrangement.
Flanking our largest watermelon vase were two petite watermelons full of cascading pink floral arrangements that billowed down and across the remainder of the table within more hobnail votive pieces.
The Drink Buffet:
A scrolled dresser displayed our signature drink served in a large glass beverage dispenser, watermelon flavored macarons and a chic and whimsical diy beverage tray.
Our Spiked Watermelon Limeade Cocktail was displayed in a glass beverage dispenser which rested upon a jade cake stand.
The container housed our beverage, full of fresh lime slices and over sized watermelon wedges.
The jade cake pedestal sat upon a macaroon stand with brightly colored watermelon macaroons.
A DIY Watermelon Drink Tray popped against the white dresser and displayed even more color coordinating drinks in wine glasses enhanced with lime wedge garish.
We love the detail the DIY Drink Tray added to our table and it really made the drinks stand out!
More fresh flowers filled a drawer in the dresser for a romantic touch that guests adored. We simply arranged our flowers in Ball Mason Jars and arranged them within the drawer for a romantic look. A "Mrs." sign was nestled in among the flowers for the bride to be.
