Whether you invite your daughter's BFFs over for a morning of fun or set up a surprise breakfast bar after a slumber party, you're sure to score the "mom of the year" title with this Watercolor Birthday Party! Loads of fun is sprinkled over every inch, and your daughter's friends will be talking about it for years to come. With a few easy steps you can create this cheerful look and your tween daughter will no doubt jump for joy!
Colorful Pastel Decorations
Although Mod Podge-ing your walls with sprinkles probably isn't the most practical idea, you're sure to win over the birthday girl with the next best thing.....balloons that look like sprinkles! By tying and cutting off the long balloons into shorter sections and knotting them along the way, I was able to create shorter versions that look like the confectionary sweets. They cheerfully accentuate the gold spray-painted mylar YAY balloons perfectly.
The sprinkle wall becomes the best photo backdrop by moving the dessert table away after guests have eaten.
If you have a tween in your house, then you know all phrases become shortened into acronym form. Your party will be on-trend with marquee letters that spell out HBD (Happy Birthday in case you don't speak tween!). The letters were spray painted gold, and a healthy dose of pretty pastel sprinkles were added to their centers. They stood tall in the center of the table thanks to the wooden boxes which were painted pink and white with sprinkles all over.
In my opinion, cupcakes should always be kept within reach! These pretty sprinkled cupcakes became showstoppers in the pedestal cups that were painted then covered with sprinkles at the bases. Tip: to keep them food safe, cover the inside of the cups with balled up paper and turn upside down so that only the outsides receive the paint.
Sprinkle-coated Celebration Flags added to the party spirit and were tied to the backs of chairs with light pink ribbon. They would make perfect photo props for taking selfies during the party too!
Rainbow sparkle lollipops tied to paper party horns added to the whimsical feel of the party without being too youthful.
Setting the Table
The cutest Mini Bottle Charms filled with Sprinklefetti from The Baker's Party Shop stood next to sprinkle-rimmed milk bottles of strawberry milk and designated each guest's spot at the table.
More is just better when it comes to some things, and sprinkles are definitely on that list! The gold glitter runner was peppered with pastel sprinkles and were a match made in heaven with the gorgeous Watercolor Rainbow Dessert Plates that sat atop the white dinner plates with gold edging. Premium gold cutlery popped off the Watercolor Rainbow Lunch Napkins.
Sweet Treats
What could be a better treat to serve for a morning birthday party than a tower of pink, chocolate-drizzled donuts? The easy peasy 11 donut topper was created by simply printing numbers out onto cardstock, then cutting and adding sprinkles.
If donuts don't strike your guests' fancy, perhaps they'll fall for the Sprinklefetti covered popcorn or chocolate dipped marshmallows.
For those guests in search of a lighter treat, you can serve Whipped Cherry Fluff Trifles.
Party Favors
Before guests leave the party be sure to offer them a YAY favor bag to fill with a sampling of jelly beans, chocolate candies, and gum balls.
And of course, don't let them forget to take home a DIY Lip Gloss so they can perfect their pout! Download the Free Lip Gloss Tags here!
