I just adore baby showers based on nursery rhymes, and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star is by far one of my personal favorites. I can't think of a better way to celebrate a new momma and her bundle of joy than with the twinkling of stars all around. The combination of mint green and peachy pink is a fresh look for spring, and is about as good as it gets in my book.
Star Power Decorations
Once I saw the Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Sign I knew it would be the perfect jumping off point for the shower. It also doubles as a gift for the guest of honor to take home and hang in her little one's nursery.
A Gold Glitter Star Garland was added to floral hoop wreath and looked lovely hanging over the dessert table. The wreath was simply made by removing the flowers from the Faux Pink Peony Stems and Pomander Rose Balls and attaching them to a gold-painted hula-hoop using hot glue. Sprigs of Faux Baby's Breath and Faux Floral Greenery were layered in for added dimension.
The table decorations were kept simple, yet elegant. Gold metallic vases and an open top terrarium looked stunning filled with pale pink peonies. Gold mercury votives received a touch of whimsy with added gold star charms that were painted pink and then tied with gold baker's twine. I added a gold glitter star garland to the floral hoop wreath which looked lovely hanging over the dessert table.
Plastic star containers filled with pink jelly beans and topped with gold stars served as place cards. Each guest also received a little gift tucked inside a Pink Tissue Flower Favor Box. A little sprinkling of gold star shaped confetti further added to the whimsical nursery rhyme theme of the shower.
Setting the Table
Watercolor Dessert Plates were layered on top of gold-rimmed dinner plate and looked stylish placed atop the metallic string chargers. Geo Sprinkle Dinner Napkins were a lovely contrast against the mint green tablecloth.
Both the vintage blush pink stemware and plastic gold trim glasses transition nicely to any party you're hosting. The mini pink pacifier on each guest's straw and the pale pink star coaster provided a sweet touch.
Sweets and Such
The dessert table was adorned with a garland made from gold baker's twine and gold star inflates.
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Favor Bags were set atop Watercolor Rainbow Beverage Napkins, ready to be filled with pink jelly beans.
Stars cut from white card stock then covered in gold glitter were added to wooden kabob sticks, and made the perfect toppers for our simply sweet pale pink rosette cake.
Chocolate dipped marshmallows with mini star sprinkles and a yummy Whipped Cherry Fluff Trifle were also served.
My favorite part of the shower was the adorable and functional DIY Baby Shower Onesie Bouquet. Not only did it add to the decor of the party, but it also doubles as a darling gift for the momma-to-be!
