There is something so eerie and classic about a vintage style Halloween party that it simply sends a chill down our spines! We love a timeless and frightening Halloween party full of haunting details and this party has everything you need to make your Halloween a spooktactular success. Pulling inspiration from Victorian Halloweens past, classic all hallows eve imagery and creepy cameos, this ghostly party will have the hair standing up on your neck!
The Table:
The table was dressed in a tea stained white table linen for an old, vintage feel. A black cheese cloth style table runner was draped down the center of the table.
The Place Settings:
Each place setting was set with a black scrolled charger plate, topped with a coordinating hexagonal vintage Halloween dinner plate. Each place setting rested upon coordinating vintage halloween beverage napkins.
To the top of each set of plates sat black cutlery intertwined with cobwebs.
To the right, a coordinating vintage Halloween dinner napkin added an extra spooky detail.
To the left sat a black raven/crow birdcage detail which tied in perfectly with our centerpiece.
The Cocktails:
Each place setting also had its own chic and spooky black cocktail served in bone chilling skeleton hand glasses.
This black toned cocktail was perfect for guests to sip on at this scary soiree. You can get the full recipe for this cocktail here.
The Chair Backers:
We created a vintage style roman numeral clock and two taxidermy style signs to suspend from our chairs.
We used multiple diy unfinished round wood signs, acrylic paint and cobwebs to create these ornate and aged details.
The Centerpiece:
In the center of our table sat a skeleton inspired centerpiece to play off of our theme. Get the step-by-step instructions on how to make this centerpiece here.
The DIY ceramic skull was the highlight of the centerpiece, and was aged with paint.
Black birdcage filled with painted florals, a creepy diy aged skull on pedestals, creeping black flowers, haunting skeleton key charms and creepy cobwebs.
Black crows sat upon skeleton hands in a sea of cobwebs. They looked perfect mixed in with our other centerpiece decor.
More skulls were intermixed throughout for a haunting detail.
Black dripping candles filled in other open areas within the centerpiece
The Backdrop:
Our backdrop consisted on a vintage style damask patterned paper roll.
In the center of our dessert buffet, three vintage Halloween style signs were displayed and for an extra spooky detail along with some additional cobwebs.
The Dessert Buffet:
Our dessert buffet looked anything but sweet as it was decorated in more black cheese cloth, cobwebs, creepy globed centerpieces and stacked vintage halloween boxes.
We made ornate globed centerpieces using, faux flowers, crows, glass globe vases, pedestals, stacked vintage halloween boxes and more. These globed centerpieces brought an eerie and vintage feel to the dessert table and coordinated perfectly with our dining table. You can get the full tutorial to create these creepy centerpieces at home here.
Each globe sat upon a vintage halloween stacking box for extra detail and height.
We created custom dessert stands using vintage halloween ceramic dessert plates. Each dessert stand displayed a black candy apple for guests to sink their teeth into. Each apple was decorated with a halloween charm.
An Ominous Vingette:
We created an ominous vinette of sinister party supplies and home decor to welcome our guests.
A Victorian style arm chair was decorated in vintage halloween pillows. This unsettling decor set the tone for guests throughout the party.
