Valentine's Day Gender Reveal Party

Valentine's Day Gender Reveal Party

The moment you learn the gender of your baby is a wonderful experience! Make the moment even more memorable by sharing it with friends and family at a gender reveal party. If you're planning on finding out the sex of your little love around Valentine's Day, then this imaginative party is sure to make your reveal fun and memorable. We've incorporated delightful DIYs with a conversation heart theme that gave guests heart eyes the moment they arrived and a voting station and balloon game that really got the party poppin'!

Guests were completely smitten with our creative theme and couldn't get over the adorable details of our decor, which were based upon classic Valentine's Day conversation hearts.

Giant "X" and "O" balloons were painted light pink and light blue and then decorated with heart stickers. The balloons easily hung on the wall with a few pieces of double sided foam tape.

Mini Mylar Conversation Heart Balloons were first painted light green and yellow to cover the existing wording, and were then personalized with the phrase "oh baby" and the mama-to-be's due date using pink vinyl. Another fun conversation heart detail was created to add a bit of flair to the front of our dessert table. DIY Unfinished Wood Heart Cutouts were first painted in colors to coordinate with our theme, and then received pink vinyl lettering to spell "oh baby" across them. The hearts were then hot glued to Gold Baker's Twine and tied to our table.

Heartfelt Tablescape

We opted for simple colorful details on our table beginning with a table runner created by lining conversation heart candies down the center of the table.

Eye catching Conversation Heart Wooden Blocks sat in the center of the table and were flanked by Pint Ball Mason Jars, which were filled with white tulips.

We removed the lids of the jars and spray painted the outer rings gold, and then used GlueDots® to affix painted wooden hearts to their fronts.

The conversation heart theme was carried over to the mama-to-be's chair which was dressed up with a vibrant DIY heart sign. DIY Wood Hearts were painted pink and blue then received pink vinyl lettering spelling "mama". The larger hearts were then paired with smaller, multicolored DIY Unfinished Wood Mini Hearts and hot glued onto a Blank Heart Shaped Sign. We then used Gold Sparklet Glitter Ribbon to tie the sign onto the back of mama's chair.

Heart Poppin' Games

For the ultimate gender reveal that kept guests guessing until the very end, we created a Valentine's Day Gender Reveal Balloon Pop Game. Pearl Pink and Pearl Blue Balloons were filled with It's A Boy Confetti or It's A Girl Confetti which was revealed as the balloons were popped. As the balloons were popped, the number of balloons with the most blue or pink confetti revealed the baby's sex. A simple balloon garland consisting of Pastel Pearl 11" Balloons and Pastel Pearl 16" Balloons hung over the game for an eye-catching detail. You can find the full details to create the fun balloon pop game here.

Valentine Cellophane Bags were filled with candied popcorn and tied up with Gold Sparklet Glitter Ribbon. These bags sat next to our gender reveal prize boxes. The heart boxes were painted in candy colored hues and had the word "yay" applied to them with a bit of pink adhesive vinyl. You can find more details on creating the heart prize boxes here.

Our charming Valentine's Gender Reveal Voting Station was the talk of the party! Mailboxes were dressed up in pink and blue and sat atop a DIY Slat Sign asking the question of the night. The mailboxes sat on a White Candleholder Set to give them height.

Mini Square Appetizer Bowls were filled with a combination of pink and blue pacifier favors. Guests wrote their names on a strip of white cardstock and then tied it onto either a pink or blue pacifier to indicate their guess for the baby's sex.
