Stop and smell the roses, and the fun party ideas! This Valentine's Day themed bridal shower is overflowing with heartfelt decor ideas, a cute rosé and candy buffet, a gorgeous table setting, and personal valentine crafting stations for each guest. Cupid would definitely approve of this fun and unique bridal shower idea!
Structure and Style
A white metal hoop arch was wound with a pile of pretty marbled black balloons, rose gold balloons, and pink balloons to create a darling half arch sculpture. A small balloon cluster was also placed at the bottom "corner" of the hoop. A banner was hand cut from white rolled paper, and the welcoming phrase, "Stop and Smell the Roseé" was hand lettered with a black brush point marker.
Pile on the Paper Fans
Paper fans in red and coral tones were assembled against a white curtain backdrop. Faux red peonies were then tucked in to add a little texture to the look. A gold glittered heart garland was draped over the paper fans and added just the right amount of sparkle.
Love is in the Air
Add some love to the air by inflating giant pink heart balloons and red mylar heart shaped balloons to enhance the festive Valentine's Day decor for this fun and unique bridal shower idea. A favorite decor element from this Valentine themed bridal shower is the crimson satin bead garland draped over our bar cart. This fun decor element was created using crimson draping fabric and foam balls. The balls are wrapped in the satin then hand tied with short lengths of pink ribbon. About two dozen styrofoam balls were used to create this stunning garland that looks incredible when draped over backdrop structures, or a cute red rolling cart.
Cupid Approved Place Settings
We just know that Cupid himself would fall for these adorable place settings. Each setting consists of a paper place mat lined in gold topped with a scalloped gold charger. With its gilded edging, the My Mind's Eye scalloped luncheon plate is a perfect fit for this table. Each luncheon plate is topped with a creamy ivory colored paper plate with gold foil lettering that says "Bon Appetit". Ornate gold cutlery is disposable but looks as stately as real silverware. Pink patterned wine and champagne glasses were provided for each bridal shower guest so they could toast and cheers the afternoon away. As a parting gift for each attendee, a cute "XO" compact mirror was set on the edge of every charger.
Coral striped and polka dotted napkins from My Mind's Eye complete the look, and small pink, red and white doilies were used to fill in blank space on the table, as well as provide a quick coaster for drinks, if needed!
A Heart-y DIY Centerpiece
The centerpiece for this swoon-worthy Valentine's Day bridal shower starts with three marbled mason jars.
Simply mix up some marbling medium and contrasting colors of paint, pour, flip and dry!
Branches foraged from the outdoors were rinsed well, dried and then painted white. Small paper hearts were cut from Valentine Card Stock and then glued to the branches. They look just like little heart-flower confetti. Position the branches in the jars in a radial formation to get the best look.
Watch for Cupid's Arrows
Tucked into the stunning centerpiece amid giant peonies, rose blooms, a faux silver dollar eucalyptus garland, and silvery green mountain grass are Cupid's Arrows Paper Crafts.
This is one of the fun Valentine's Day crafts that guests can make during the shower! You can also make a few ahead of time to add to the party decor and use as samples so guests can see what the finished project looks like. See the step-by-step tutorial to make your own DIY Cupid's Arrows out of wood dowels, craft paint and paper.
X's and O's
This fun table runner only LOOKS expensive. In fact, it's made from white rolled paper and is simply hand painted with black craft paint and a paint brush! Just roll your paper out to the length of your table, allowing extra length for the ends. Next, trim the paper with scissors and lay on the ground. Paint rows of X's and O's in straight lines that are evenly spaced apart. The paint dries quickly and costs mere pocket change, but the impact is spectacular!
Take Time to Smell the Roses
Greet guests with an adorable wine and candy station. A cute letter board bears the phrase, Stop and Smell the Rosé. Candy dishes spell out L-O-V-E and are filled with elegant pink gummies and foil wrapped chocolate lip "Kisses". Be sure to provide extra champagne glasses embellished with peony flowers and a handmade Cupid's Arrow. Strawberry Champagne Jams from Farmgirl Edibles were gifted to each guest with a request to "Spread the Love".
Cute Crafty Supplies on Display
On the lower level of the fun rolling red cart are plenty of extra craft supplies for guests. Use mason jars, red candy boxes, and heart boxes to hold extras of all your crafty favorites. A flower shaped storage box opens with a twist to reveal all the tiny bits and bobs you'll need for crafting the day away.
Personal Craft Stations
A black and white letter board greets guests and lets them know these stations are theirs for the taking! Personal craft stations are set on a back bench for after the dining hour. Provide each guest with a clear tray lined with card stock and piled with supplies like baker's twine, note cards, heart stickers, glitter heart embellishments, and even personalized pencils that say "Be Mine". (You can personalize with any phrase you like!) Your guests can then return to the table to craft together, creating Yarn Hearts and DIY Cupid's Arrows, as well as valentine cards for the bride-to-be, and any friends or family.
I hope you've loved this Valentine's Day themed bridal shower with lots of fun activities to keep guests entertained!
