X's and O's, hearts and hugs, and pink and red make for the perfect Valentine's Day party! Add in a cute cookie and baking theme and these adorable items are a recipe for a sweet soirée! We mixed up this adorable combination of sweets and decor for our Valentine's Day party and you can recreate this celebration at home in a snap!
The Table:
We set up this "Cute as a Cookie" Valentine's Day Party at the perfect sized kids' table for our little bakers! We started by layering our plain white kids' table with a Red Polka Dot Table Runner.
We then created custom place mats by adding Cotton Rickrack Trim and Heart-Shaped Buttons to red Felt Sheets. This was the perfect way to customize the exact size we needed for our place mats and added a modern look without the price tag! The Place Settings:
Each place mat was topped with Frosted Fun Paper Dinner Plates layered with Frosted Fun Paper Dessert Plates and a gingham utensil. We love the Cotton Rickrack Trim and pink Heart-Shaped Button details on the place mats. They add the perfect, youthful touch!
We filled Red Heart Ceramic Mugs with milk and accented them with Pink Chevron Paper Straws with Felt heart detailing.
Each guest also had their very own DIY Felt Envelope Valentine's Day Chair Backer, perfect for receiving sweet Valentine's mail from friends and admirers. Crafted out of Felt, Cotton Rickrack Trim, Red Satin Ribbon and Heart-Shaped Buttons, there isn't a cuter way to receive a love note!

There's no reason you can't use adorable decor as part of your holiday decorating AND as the backdrop for a fabulously sweet party! An adorable felt envelope garland and felt ball banner hung from a stark white fire place. We love how this translates from holiday decor to party decor!
The envelope banner opens for you to fill with adorable Valentines, and it inspired our DIY chair backers as well!
Our fireplace and cubbies was also clad in themed pillows, throws and wreaths to get everyone in the mood to celebrate! We mixed a variety of pillow patterns into our decor, including Xs and Os, gold hearts, plaids, pops of red and Hearts galore!
This pom-pom wreath was perhaps our most favorite piece of decor. Clad with bright pink red and cream pom-poms, this wreath easily transforms from home to party decor! The Cubbies:
We wanted to include extra display tables for our adorable Valentine's Day themed decor, sweets and party favors and cubbies were the perfect, kid friendly, way to bring in some extra details!
Plush Heart fabric stemmed wands were displayed in a bright white cookie jar. These wands are ideal for Valentine's Day and include a variety of patterns and fabrics.
A heart covered white cake was topped with chocolate chip cookies to fit our cute as a cookie theme!
We also displayed an adorable glittering heart tree along, with perfectly coordinating colors and just enough sparkle. The Activities:
This sweet cute as a cookie themed party was completely inspired by the adorable Dinner and Dessert plates. We wanted to keep that theme going into our activities, so guests decorated their very own heart cookies! Yummy Shimmer Pink Gumballs and Shimmer Blue Gumballs were displayed in glass Jars complete with Red Satin Ribbon, Red Baker's Twine and hand-cut Felt hearts.
What goes better with cookies than milk!? Milk was displayed in an over-sized carafe for guests to enjoy with their goodies.
The Look:
We wanted guests to not only look the part but to keep themselves clean and neat while "baking"! We created the sweetest Apron and Baking Hat combination that not only looked incredibly cute but also kept clothes clean.
Kids' Red Aprons were trimmed out in Cotton Rickrack Trim and Red Satin Ribbon. We added custom heart shaped Felt pockets adorned in ribbon bows and Heart-Shaped Buttons. We of course needed our Kids' Baking Hats to match perfectly, so the hats were also trimmed out in coordinating Cotton Rickrack and had matching Heart-Shaped Buttons. You can check out our full DIY Valentine Aprons and Baking Hats tutorial here. The Favors:
For our party favors, miniature rolling pins were adorned with red and white bakers twine to secure an adorable valentine. We also added sweet Valentine Cookie Cutter Shape Charms. They paired perfectly with Milk and Cookie Valentine Cards! We loved adding on the sweet little charm for an extra dose of cuteness!
Guests also took home a handmade treat; our very own recipe for Valentine's Day White Chocolate Popcorn Balls! They were packaged in Cellophane Valentine Bags with a satin ribbon bow along with another Milk and Cookie Valentine! This sweet treat was displayed in Nesting Heart Trays alongside some yummy cold milk.
Everyone brought home all of their goodies in these adorable custom Favor Boxes. We added a large Felt heart to Red Favor Boxes and a Faux Leather Tassel for a sweet and modern touch!
