It's always tough to take down all the pretty Christmas decor after the holidays, but I have the cure: add some decor for the month of love. After all, it's never too early to decorate for Valentine's Day, and love is always in style! I'm excited to share the details of how I created this Valentine Mantel & Hearth Decor look.
I had so much fun creating my Valentine Mantle & Hearth with so much pretty Valentine decor products. I just couldn't wait to create a Valentine mantle to help beat the winter blues, and today I'm sharing all the details so you can create your own.
I chose to use red, pink and white accented with pops of black and gold to create my Valentine mantle and hearth. It all came together beautifully, and I was even able to incorporate some fun and easy DIY projects into the look. I began designing my Valentine mantle around a new letter board. I chose a larger size for this – a 16" x 20" board with a black frame, white board and black letters. It's just so fun incorporating letter boards into holiday decor! I chose the saying "All you need is Love – Love is all you need" for my Valentine mantle letter board. I finished it by adding some arrows around the word LOVE.
Next I added a colorful pom pom wreath. The pops of pink, red and white look amazing, and it really adds a lovely touch to my Valentine mantle. The X and O Decorative Letters are one of my favorite elements of the Valentine mantle. The letters have fun little gold polka dots that make them so festive!
The black and gold Heart-Shaped Chalkboard Sign was a perfect contrast to the reds and pinks. Just grab a chalk marker and write your own Valentine message on it. My kids can't wait to try it out!
Adding sweet Valentine pillows to your hearth is a great way to add color, texture and pattern to your decor. I'm really liking the Decorative Hearts Pillow. How cute are those felt hearts?!
DIY Valentine Garland
I loved creating this simple Valentine garland. Be sure to download the Free XOXO Valentine Garland Printable here and I gave my own twist on it by adding white canvas banner pieces and red ribbon. The Valentine Pom Pom Garland added a whimsical element to my Valentine mantle decor. I used two pom pom garlands to accent my DIYgarland. I hung one above the Xs and Os, and the other below. The result is a pretty layered look.
Valentine Arrow Jars
I used paper straws to create cute Valentine arrows and then added them to pretty gold and white vases, which added a touch of gold to my Valentine mantle. Take a look at how easy and fun it is to make the paper straw arrows!
I'm just delighted with the way my Valentine Mantle & Hearth came together – and it's definitely warding off those winter blues!
