Urban Chic Baby Shower

Create your own modern, industrial themed baby shower by incorporating metallics touches, raw wood pallets, and a soft color palette. Here's how we did it.

full table When I think "urban chic" I think of wood and metal with touches of metallics and greenery. This baby shower focuses on those stylish elements! We've taken a wood pallet and created an amazing backdrop, added in sparkly gold flatware, balloons and touches of baby's breath to create the perfect celebration for any Mother-To-Be. open

The backdrop of any tablescape is a main focal point, and this DIY Pallet Backdrop is just that. It also is a fun way to hold the hanging globes that will become guests' take home party favors. To continue with the urban chic theme, the table is flanked with two large galvanized lantern candle holders (do not use open flame candles with this product) with flameless candles and a little baby's breath to soften the entire look. half table The next element to add is gold. Add touches of gold with shiny metallic cutlery and the gold-rimmed tumbler. These products add just the right amount of shine to the tablescape. I am a fan of keeping things simple, and sometimes that means just grabbing sweet treats from the grocery store, placing them on a pretty tray and adding something green to the plate, like this faux succulent. side shot For me, a party idea always starts with paper goods, so when I came across this Confetti Design line, I knew I had enough inspiration to create an entire party! paper goods TREAT lantern Another party element that made a huge impact is the balloon garland I put together. This was my very first attempt, and I am here to say, it is much easier than you think! So, if you have been thinking about trying one for yourself...go for it! This took approximately 70 balloons (blown up with a mini balloon pump) tied to twine. balloon garland hanging glove I hope you're inspired to style up your own urban-themed event.
