Under the Sea Classroom Reveal

Under the Sea Classroom Reveal

Each year, I get extremely excited to set up a new classroom. I love changing themes/colors or adding to the previous year's. It personally helps get me excited to go back into the classroom! And, I love to see the faces of my new and old students when they see a fresh, "new" classroom. The Under the Sea Classroom Decorations are bright and adorable!

under-the-sea-classroom-reveal My first step each year is to start decorating the "bones" of the classroom. Since the walls are already a pretty yellow color, I chose to skip adding paper. Using fish scalloped borders, I created a very simple math and writing area. The cute little sea creatures add a little more detail. Of course, the empty spaces are for anchor charts. under-the-sea-classroom-reveal Once the learning areas are set up, it is time to add decorative pieces. I love the Under the Sea Posters because they are large and bright! They are a great way to fill in empty spaces as well. under-the-sea-classroom-reveal The Under the Sea Classroom Jobs Bulletin Board Set provides an adorable visual to help build a classroom community. I chose to laminate the bubbles so I can quickly assign students to various jobs throughout the year. The set provides fish to use for students names, but I used them around the classroom to decorate! under-the-sea-classroom-reveal I love how large the Under the Sea Bulletin Board Calendar is. It's a great addition to my calendar area and students can see it from any area of the classroom. Holiday and school event cards are also provided. under-the-sea-classroom-reveal To help keep myself organized, I used a set of Neon Classroom Book Organizers to create Monday-Friday bins. To create the labels, I printed white labels and then attached them to Diver Mask Name Tags. under-the-sea-classroom-revealOf course, every classroom needs a classroom library that attracts students' attention. You can read all about my library set up here. under-the-sea-classroom-reveal I always love to have student supplies ready to go on student desks. The Under the Sea Draw and Write Journals and Under the Sea Pocket Folders are two of my favorite items. The folders are made of thick, laminated material that hold up all year. The draw and write journals have the perfect line space and also includes an area for students to illustrate. back-to-school-gift-label-freebie I also love to start the year off by giving my new group welcoming gifts. The beach ball will be given at back-to-school night. On the first day of school, students will receive the cute fish pencil sharpeners. I attached both with washi tape. Get the free printable under the supply list. under-the-sea-classroom-decorations
