If you are planning a tropical bridal shower, get inspired by the lush brightly colored fruits of a summer in the tropics. I'm talking all the fruits! Take the watermelon and pineapple trends a step further to create a playful and fun Tropical Tutti Frutti Themed Bridal Shower.
Set the mood with bright fruit balloons and piñatas. Decorate the table with hot pink rattan fans, tropical leaves and fruit slices of every flavor. Then add a modern twist with contrasting geometric patterns and bold pops of black, white and yellow.
The Table
Start with a blank canvas white table that will make the vibrant fruit colors pop. Create an eye-catching centerpiece that spans the entire length of the table.
Use both Fruit Slices Putty and Fruit-Scented Slime down the middle of the table, start wide and taper to a point at the end of the table.
The modern design of the fruit slice containers sets the scene for the rest of the bridal shower decor and ties in with fun DIYs.
In the center of the table use Round Luau Fringe Place Mats to create a kiwi fruit slice place mat for the tropical florals. Spray one place mat green, trim a second place mat to a smaller diameter and place it on top of the green mat. Finally, cut small seeds out of black card stock and place these on the top mat.
Add tropical palm leaves and flowers to a Wide White Ceramic Vase With Gold Trim and place on top of the place mat for a high impact centerpiece.
Tutti Frutti Coin Purses double as additional table decor and the cutest favors for guests to take home.
The Place Settings
Have fun and go bold with the place settings. Spray Natural Raffia Hand Fans bright pink and place them at an angle for a uniquely layered setting. On top of the fan, layer a Tutti Frutti Paper Dinner Plate, a Tutti Frutti Paper Dessert Plate and a modern geometric Tutti Frutti Black & White Luncheon Napkin.
Amp up the fun factor with a pop of bright yellow cutlery and a Banana Pen. A pen is always a handy addition to the table for bridal shower games & quizzes.
Add Tutti Frutti Paper Cups with a Hot Pink Striped Paper Straw for non-alcoholic drinks. Then to bring more bright yellow into the setting paint the stems of Gold Stem Champagne Glasses a bright canary yellow. These champagne flutes look fabulous with my DIY Fruit Slice Drink Umbrellas.
Finally, mark your guests seat with a wedge of lime! Lime isn't just for your drinks at this bridal shower. These DIY Fruit Wedge Piñata Place Cards are so simple to make, no cutting cardboard shapes. Click here to make your own DIY Fruit Wedge Piñata Place Cards.
Go Extra Big!
Time to double down on the fruit! The over sized, fun kind of fruit.
Start with a Watermelon Pinata. This looks fantastic hanging up or as a table accent. Place on a milk crate to give it some height.
On the other side of the table, again slightly raised from floor height on a milk crate, add a Gold Foil Pineapple Pinata as a matching statement piece.
To flank each side of the dessert table add a bunch of Tutti Frutti and Lemonade Party Mylar Balloons.
The Dessert Table
Use either the wall behind or a brightly painted grid wall to hang a fruit slice garland. Download the free Printable Wedge Pattern here to make the Tropical Bridal Shower Banner.
Use an Orange Semi Fan Burst Garland to create an orange slice and a Lime Green Semi Fan burst Garland to create lime wedges. Print out the template provided, cut the shape out and glue one to each fan burst.
A 3-tier fruit slice cake makes a show-stopping centerpiece for the dessert table. The watermelon layer has small tiny hearts as seeds, a nod to the love being celebrated.
From a birds-eye view the middle layer looks like a giant slice of kiwi fruit topped with pineapple.
Around the cake stand use Mini Fruit Erasers in a similar pattern to that used with the slime & putty on the eating table. A large number around the cake stand, tapering out to the sides. Add Fruit Stress Toys and Fruit Pencil Sharpeners for variety, depth and of course extreme cuteness.
On each side of the dessert table add kiwifruit place mats like the one used in the middle of the eating table. On top of these add Premium Plastic White Rectangular Serving Trays with Frosted Watermelon Wedge Lollipops. These double as delicious drink stirrers!
Prop up the trays slightly using crepe paper rolls (or something of a similar height) to show off the lollipops. Behind the trays use real fruit and Bright Pineapple Centerpieces as decorative accents.
Fill a Large Cylinder Glass Vase with fruit as a unique alternative to flowers.
The Bar
Get fresh and fruity with this fabulous Inflatable Pineapple Cooler. It has enough room for all your favorite juices and mimosa supplies.
Fill with ice and fruity drinks, then add Pineapple Icon Plastic Tumblers to chill. Add Inflatable 11" Pineapple Medium Beach Balls to the chiller as both decor and possibly a fun party game (wink, wink) later in the day.
Finally, fill up a Pineapple-Shaped Drink Dispenser with my tasty Tropical Fruit Punch. Get the delicious recipe tropical fruit punch here.
