Our crates stand-up looked just like a stack of crates for a safari adventure and took just seconds to set up.
Don't these stacked blocks look just like ancient ruins that were discovered deep in the heart of the jungle? I love the depth and dimension they added to our party.
Tropical Safari Dessert Table
Our dessert table was covered in burlap fabric with a raffia fringe table skirt wrapped around it.
The table was covered in lots of lush tropical leaves to mimic the jungle. Long, green jungle vines were draped across the table.
I stained two wood crate sets and added scratched and dents to make them look old and worn. On top of each set of crates were lovely rattan lanterns.
An old vintage crate I already had sat in the center of the table with palm leaf cups filled with a tropical trail mix I mixed up. A large wood bowl held more trail mix, in case anyone wanted a refill.
Brightly colored snakes were hissing at our tasty food, hoping to get a taste of all the tropical treats.
One wood bowl was filled with ancient gold coins (that were edible chocolate coins) found deep in the heart of the jungle buried hundreds of years ago... or at least that's what we told the kids. ;)
Plain Hershey's chocolate bars were transformed into tropical party treats with palm leaf candy bar labels that we personalized just for our guests! It was a nice touch and was perfect for guests to snack on at the party or take home with them.
Cute tropical cupcake boxes had a cupcake inside, and was great for taking the cupcakes home without any spills or accidents.
Tropical Safari Dining Table
Our fun dining table looked like it was straight out of the tropical jungle!
The table was covered in burlap, with a palm leaf table runner across the middle of the table. A tropical fringe table skirt added a wonderful natural feel and another layer of texture to the table.
Long ivy leaf garlands looked like jungle vines that were strewn across the table and along each table side.
Four tabletop tiki torches added to the jungle vibe of the party, along with colorful tropical flowers that were placed down the middle of the table.
Did you notice the snakes that blended in with the tropical foliage?
These awesome bendable snakes looked amazing at our party table! I bent them so they looked like they were ready to strike, and the kids loved them!
Each little explorer received a cool pith helmet at their spot at the table, perfect for summer adventures.
Darling palm leaf dessert plates were stacked onto palm leaf dinner plates and were a wonderful match to the rest of the party.
Tropical napkins and wooden forks and spoons also added to the theme with more green leaves.
Clear tiki cups were filled with bright red and orange punch, and a bamboo straw was placed inside each cup.
