The summer heat is quickly approaching and when the summer nights hit, we know we are ready to attend a chic tropical themed luau full of our favorite summer things. This modern luau with vacation vibes is inspiring us to want to lay out on the beach with a delicious drink! Full of brightly colored details, flocks of flamingos, gorgeous tropical foliage, a tiki inspired drink bar and adorably themed paper dinnerware, this modern party is sure to whisk you away to the tropics for the evening!
The Table:
The table was decorated in a Bright Pink Table Cloth layered with a bed of Dried Raffia to serve as a table runner.
The Place Settings:
Each place setting consisted of a Clear Gold Rimmed Dinner Plate topped with a Tropical Nights Dinner Plate.
Each dinner plate was then topped with a coordinating Tropical Nights Dessert Plate and Clear Gold Rimmed Dessert Plate for a luxe, layered look.
To the right of each place setting sat a Tropical Nights Dinner Napkin topped with Gold Cutlery.
A Wine Glass sat above the Tropical Nights Dinner Napkin and was enhanced with Black Striped Paper Straws.
To the left of each place setting sat a small Clear Hinged Favor Box with greenery and florals.
The Centerpiece:
The simple tropical centerpiece rested on a bed of Dried Raffia at the middle of the table.
Directly in the center, we repurposed an Acrylic Picture Box into a decorate vase by adding themed details, fresh colorful flowers and a Flamingo Centerpiece.
To each side of the Acrylic Picture Box sat two small tropical themed wooden lanterns, one with a Pineapple cutout and the other with a Palm Tree cutout. These added a bright pop of color and tropical feel.
The Backdrop and Drink Stand:
For a true tropical oasis you of course need a Tropical Tiki Bar to set the perfect tropical scene!
Our Tiki Bar was layered in various Tropical Leaves with pops of colorful Flower Garlands and Gold Palm detailing.
Our Tiki Bar served as backdrop but also as a place to serve up cocktails and snacks.
Behind the Tray sat a Chalkboard enhanced with more Flamingos!
Colorful Cocktail Glasses rested upon a Woven Tassel Tray for guests to grab and enjoy. More Pineapple Lanterns flanked each side of the Chalkboard.
Extra Fun DIY Yard Decor:
Birthday Yard Signs are becoming ever more popular these days and we wanted to welcome guests and birthday parade friends with a DIY Tropical Birthday Lawn Sign to set the scene!
This Birthday Lawn Sign was enhanced with loads of tropical details and elements to whisk guests away to the tropics for the night!
We even added some fun Pineapple and Flamingo Friends to accentuate our DIY birthday sign!
