Throw a Backyard Beer Tasting Bash

We welcomed guests into the backyard with this Personalized Beer Party Yard Sign. It was a great way to start the party. I mean, it says "Beer Here!" Who would turn that down? The first activity that was displayed was a Beer Tasting. Guests got to sample four different beers and filled out the Beer Party Place Mats. We decorated the bar with the Beer Garland, which was a huge hit. You can check out step-by-step instructions on how to setup your own Beer Tasting Activity for your next party. Using a DIY 5" x 7" Frame and Flattened Bottle Caps, I created this fun "Beer Makes Me Hoppy" free printable. You can create your own frame too by following the DIY Bottle Cap Frame tutorial. I really love how this turned out and it was totally on point with the party decorations. I must say this Beer Mug Stand-Up was one of my favorite elements. It looked awesome next to our beer tasting station too. When guests were done with the Beer Tasting Activity, we let them try their hands at beer pong. I know most people play it with traditional red Solo cups, but these Metallic Gold Cups- 16 oz. were much prettier! I also really love how they look in the sun! Beer pong always makes people happy and generates a ton of laughter and competitive spirit. I put out a mini sign and a DIY Large Silver Tin Pail with a Beer Party Bottle Opener attached to it near the coolers of beer. This encouraged guests to drop their bottle caps into the bucket. Plus, we always knew where we could find a bottle opener. Those openers tend to run off. . . Sometimes just adding a sticker to a plastic cup livens things up. I always get out a few Sharpie Fine Point Markers too. It's nice to be able to write your name on a cup. If nothing else, this is for me. I am constantly losing my drink! If my name is on it, someone usually knows where I set it down. When I said we went casual on the serving, I mean I served everything in clear bowls and used Clear Candy Scoops. We put out a bunch of pub-style munchies including several styles of pretzels, muddy buddy mix, and pub crackers. All of these items were store-bought and required very little preparation. I love buttermints. I thought it might be nice to have some of these around so people didn't have to suffer with beer breath. We put out both Yellow Buttermints and Brown Buttermints. These were a huge hit with the kids. Plus, I was happy they matched our color palette. Another party favorite was the Chicago-style popcorn mix. We filled up Mini Chocolate Popcorn Boxes full of popcorn. This was an easy grab-and-go snack for guests to munch on and socialize. You know I am a huge fan of these Mini Popcorn Boxes. My gal Kyra, from Kyra's Bake Shop came through with beer brownies. They were super moist and delicious. They were a great sweet treat to round out all of the savory offerings. We had a blast at this beer-themed birthday party. Your guests will love it too.
