Summer is the time for outdoor parties and barbecues and what better way to celebrate our country than with a Patriotic Party and BBQ? I was so excited to style a Red, White and Blue party in honor of the upcoming Memorial Day holiday! Patriotic parties have always been a personal favorite so I wanted to create an old-fashioned style party to celebrate! I decided to accent with rustic white decor elements and galvanized metal.
I styled two areas for the party, which included one set of tables for the desserts and another table for the food and fixings. To start, I draped the American Woven Bunting in front of my table instead of garland and I hung the Red White & Blue Star Garland on a clothespin photo frame.
Like all my parties, I like to incorporate my own crafting details, so I embellished the Beverage Dispenser and Clear Glass Milk Bottles with red and blue stars.
I served several treats including these Patriotic Soldier Gummies. Red, white and blue jelly beans would work great too! They were so delicious and the perfect touch for Memorial Day!
Cereal treats are a family favorite so I whipped up a batch of Patriotic Cereal Treats.
I also baked a batch of lemon cupcakes and added the fun Patriotic Fan Picks for cupcake toppers.
You can't have a Patriotic Party without good old-fashioned American Pie! I topped our pie with a DIY Pie Bunting Topper, isn't it fun?
The Red Metal Lanterns were perfect for my table, I set the small one on the table and the larger one in a crate on the floor to set the scene.
The Utensil Caddy Basket was perfect for keeping the plates, forks, napkins and Patriotic Paper Straws all in one central location.
On our food table, I filled Patriotic Popcorn Boxes with chips and Patriotic Snack Bowls with potato salad and fresh fruit.
e also enjoyed grilled hot dogs with all the fixings. The kids loved eating out of the Diner Baskets lined with Patriotic Gingham Beverage Napkins
The kids had fun with the Patriotic Photo Stick Props. My son especially loved the Statue of Liberty props. See how to make the USA bucket here.
My oldest son helped me with a bit of Chalkboard art. I love how it turned out!
All of us enjoyed a dip in the pool and the Patriotic Fireworks Beach Balls were a big hit!
I hope you enjoyed our Patriotic Party and BBQ, we sure did! Don't forget to check out my Recipe for Patriotic Cereal Treats along with my tutorials for the DIY Bunting Pie Topper and Star Milk Glasses!
