Thanksgiving is just around the corner! Why not educate the kids about the meaning behind the holiday with a Thanksgiving Kids’ Party? Thanksgiving is the perfect opportunity to share a bit of history while teaching the kids about what it means to be thankful, not only during the holiday but all year around. I’m excited to share the details from the Thanksgiving Kids’ Party that I created for my little guy. We had a great time learning about the first Thanksgiving as well as the importance of being thankful for all of our blessings and family.
The Decorations: I started with the table decorations. The Pumpkin Pie Favor Boxes made the perfect centerpiece on top of my cake stand. I topped my plates with fun Pumpkin Decorations and added personalized Thanksgiving Place Cards. I placed a Fabulous Felt Pilgrim Hats at each chair for us all to wear. I set up a side table for sweets and decorations. I made whipped up a Pumpkin Photo Booth Prop Holder for our photo booth props and added the adorable Turkey Paper Lanterns. Aren't they cute?
The Sweets: I baked two batches of cupcakes, some vanilla bean cupcakes topped with chocolate butter cream and made cute Thanksgiving Cupcake Holders using the Thanksgiving Cupcake Ornament Craft Kit. See my full tutorial HERE.
I also wanted to be sure we had some pumpkin at our party, so I made a batch of pumpkin spice Teepee Cupcakes. Check out my tutorial HERE.
The Fun: My little pilgrim loved the cozy DIY Teepee we built, you can read all about it HERE. Aren't those hats fabulous?
We laughed, we ate, we played and above all, my son learned the importance of being thankful for all of our blessings, big and small. Be sure to check out the tutorial for my Teepee Cupcakes and Thanksgiving Cupcake Holders as well as the DIY Teepee and Pumpkin Photo Booth Prop Holder!
