Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year. It's a chance to spend time around the table with loved ones and reflect on all the things we have to be thankful for. This Thankful and Blessed Thanksgiving table was created with gratitude in mind. "Be thankful, and grateful" plates and simple DIY Cornucopia Place Cards await each guest. The DIY "Blessed" Centerpiece is easy to make with fall greenery and pumpkins, while a DIY Cornhusk Wreath makes a striking backdrop to your meal. This table is full of simple ideas that are sure to make your meal special!
For this special dinner I chose a traditional Thanksgiving palette of oranges, golds and browns. I also incorporated lots of natural elements such as fall leaves, pumpkins and cornhusks. In addition to decorating the table, I added festive touches to our dining room buffet like a DIY Cornhusk Wreath that I made.
Place Settings
Each place setting starts with the plate that inspired this meal - these pretty Thankful Paper Dinner Plates. In addition to looking good, these paper plates make for easy clean-up after your Thanksgiving meal! I like to layer plates to add more color and interest to the table, so I layered a larger orange plate and burlap charger underneath. For a simple and sweet napkin ring, I glued a paper raffia pumpkin onto a craft roll that I cut into rings. A paper shiplap placemat adds a rustic touch, while clear plastic patterned wine glasses and gold cutlery round out each place setting.
Cornucopia Place Cards
I love creating special place cards for my holiday tables, even if there will be a small number of guests attending. These DIY Cornucopia Place Cards are so easy to make and double as a little treat for guests to enjoy before or after the big meal! Get the simple tutorial for the DIY Cornucopia Place Cards here. I scattered large faux fall leaves down the center of the table for another super simple touch.
"Blessed" Thanksgiving Centerpiece
This DIY Thanksgiving Centerpiece is a fun alternative to traditional arrangements. It starts with a DIY Flower Box Centerpiece and is topped with greenery including these Fall Harvest Swags and a gold dipped pumpkin. A string of LED lights adds a warm glow. You can find the step-by-step tutorial to create your own Thanksgiving Centerpiece here.
Buffet Decor
Above our dining room buffet I scattered a variety of fall accents including a set of Sweet Fall Pumpkins, grapevine balls, paper raffia pumpkins, leaves and fall corn. Above the buffet I hung my DIY Cornhusk Wreath with a large galvanized metal "Blessed" sign in the middle. Get the step-by-step tutorial for the DIY Cornhusk Wreath here!
As a final touch to theThanksgiving decor on my buffet I added this DIY Pumpkin Turkey that's so easy to make! Simply attach Large Fall Leaves to a Foam Pumpkin then embellish the front with Cardstock cut into the shape of a turkey's head. We are hosting Thanksgiving this year, and I can't wait to celebrate and give thanks together!
